Torbay Tutors - Eleven Plus Tuition and Mock Exams in Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Newton Abbot

Hello I'm Kate and I run Torbay Tutors.

At Torbay Tutors I specialise in providing eleven plus (11+) tuition to children based in Torbay and the neighbouring parts of the South Hams and Teignbridge.

I provide friendly, small group tuition in Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Newton Abbot.

I am a fully qualified primary school teacher. I have an honours degree from Exeter University and a PGCE qualification from Rolle College Exmouth. My teaching experience covers 4 to 11 year olds and my specialist area is with 8 to 11 year olds.

I founded Torbay Tutors as a result of my own children taking the eleven plus exams. I know what a stressful time it can be for children and parents alike. I try to help by boosting the children's confidence and keeping the parents fully informed.

There are three elements to my 11+ programme:

Ongoing term time tuition courses which start either in Year 4 or Year 5. You can join these courses at any time. However, as reported by the BBC, Educational Psychologist Professor Brendan Bunting has shown that children who are coached for nine months or more improve their scores at 11+ by up to 40%. So the earlier you start the better. Why not book a session and come along and give it a try? You can join an existing course and start straight away or book now to secure a place on a new Year 4 or Year 5 course starting in September.

Summer revision courses for Year 5s who have already had tuition to keep them on track before the September exams. Even if you haven't been to my classes before you are still welcome. You can book now to secure a place.
